Cole's Laid Up

Happy Sunday!!

Today I have a card for you with the cute Cole's Laid Up
A fun card for someone who has broken their leg (and doesn't have many legs left, like Cole ;) )..

Base of my card is Bazzill Craft cardstock, with a layer of Bazzill white behind the dessinpaper.
For the dessinpapers I've used the It's a Girl-Dots and Stripes by CartaBella.
The little stroke brown came from a cookiebox (haha, love these findings!). I pierced a star out of the brown stroke and added a brown dotted ribbon to it.
I also added two blue flower buttons by Prima Marketing (really old ones!)

Here's a close up from the image:

In The Air

We have been in a deep freeze for at least a week - honestly I've lost count for how many days that have been a feels like temperature of -30 or colder.

All this cold weather has turned my thoughts to wishing for Spring! My dog won't stay out for more then 5 minutes to do his "chores" so he is wishing for Spring too!

My friend "Willard Weather Ant" from High Hopes sure has his eye on the Spring weather to come doesn't he?!? I chose to colour him in some bright, Spring feel colours - you know.....with thoughts of Spring and sun and all......<wink>

Our friend Willard is coloured with alcohol markers and cut out using a hand stitched die. Paper from the Echo Park Spring collection were perfect fro my Spring theme. The sentiment was stamped and cut out using a stitched oval die. I added a banner with a butterfly cut out to match the theme. Some ribbon and gumdrops finish off my card.

This is "Framed Spring Fever"  A sweet image that is the sentiment as well! Love that little chick peeking over the framed Spring... I colored with my Copics (colors below) I found some papers in my stash from My Minds Eye that have that spring feeling to it. I matched it up with some blue card stock and then sewed my layers down. Then six enamel dots for embellishments.

Canoe Trip

Hello HH Peeps!!
Today I am sharing with you a card I created using the stamp called "Canoe Trip" by High Hopes Stamps. As kids we used to canoe a lot at the Cottage! We would canoe to our friends down the shore and then off we would all go paddling away. My Dad used to take us out in the canoe on really stormy days when the waves were huge. He would purposely tip the canoe and we had fun bringing it back to shore. We thought it was a game but He was teaching us how to handle that scenario.
I chose papers from the Carta Bella Fall Blessings 6x6 collection. I fussy cut out my image and added it to my base layers. I also inked all the edges of my papers with Vintage Photo Distress ink. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Good Times"
Since I had the "Teepee" stamp I thought I'd use it on the inside of my card. I typed the sentiment on my computer and added it to the card for a bit of fun!
Copics Used:
Skin: E53, E13, E15
Outfit: E95, E97, E99
Canoe & paddle: E41, E42, E43, E44, E47/ YR16, YR18, YR23, R37, YG13
Dog: C0, C1, C2
Trees: YG61, YG63, YG67
Rocks: C2, C4, C5
Water: B0000, B000, B01, B02, Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen

Valentine's Day Gifts!

Happy Monday,
 High Hopes  Friends!

For today I have a couple Valentine's Day treat boxes and some fun rosettes! I know it might seem kind of strange to be thinking about Valentine's Day already, but it really is right around the corner. And I love to created cute treat for this special day, so not waiting to last minute...lol!

To start I stamped "Kitty Love" with Memento tuxedo black ink and used my Copic markers to colored it. After the image was all done I fussy cut it leaving a small withe border. I bought this boxes on my local party supplies store and decorated with pattern paper from my stash.

Copic List; Cats E31 E33 E37 W1 W3 W5 Nose & Cheeks RV00 Nose C9

I used my MFT stitched die set to die cut some hearts and added some NUVO crystal drops "Carnation Pink". To finish my boxes I did a double knot with some bright pink gingham ribbon, twine, a large pink gem, and stamped "Be My Valentine! on white cardstock.

Bonus project: Since I learned to make lollipop or rosette I have been creating some for every holiday season. They're so fun and quick to made I love to used these babies as a cup cake topper or home decor.

That's all for today hope you have enjoyed today's post.

Wow! I didn't know that yellow and grey could be such a great combo!!
This is Purrr-ty Tweet Kitty and I've tried to colour the furr, but I need more practice..

And the dessinpaper is from Doodlebug Design: Flea Market.

I colored Milton with Prisma Pencils(canary yellow, chocolate, apple green, sky blue, cardinal red, sunburst, black, beige) and blended with gamsol and blending stumps.

I had my sewing machine out because I just mended a shirt so since it was handy I decided to sew on this card.

Owl Love

I have a confession - I don't usually make Valentine's Day cards but sometimes you have an image cross your crafty desk that just screams at you to make it a Valentine's Day card.

That is what happened with Love Birds. I kept the layout very clean and simple (for me) - they are just too cute and I wanted them to really be the focus of my card. I also have them sitting on the perfect branch  - it has a few leaves to give this sweet couple some privacy <smile>

After colouring my stamps with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut them. Their tails had to be cut off so I could put them behind the branch. I set them aside and blended some inks to create a light airy background. I added some hearts above their heads for fun. The sentiment was masked off and stamped directly on my background - thankful for my Misti for this one! The heart they are holding is coloured with a sparkle pen - so hard to get a good photo of! Some simple gumdrops finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Love BirdsBranch - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Love Never Fails - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: ink blended by me
Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Misti, stitched rectangle die - Your Next Stamp, Stampin' Up inks, mini heart ink splatter - Your Next Stamp, Cosmos Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen

Fireman Matthew

Howdy - MichelleO here today and this week I pulled out an old favorite for High Hopes Stamps - How fabulous is "Fireman Matthew"!!

I mean we all love those cute firemen right? And this little guy is just too cute, I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then cut him out loosely around the edges. I found some older papers from My Minds Eye and American Crafts and sewed down the layers. Love all the little hearts. I glued down Matthew and added some Viva Decor Pearl Pen for a little water coming to put out that fire! I cut out a Whimsy Tag Die and then stamped out the perfect sentiment from High Hopes - "Thanks!" Love this sentiment size and those dotted letters. I added a couple of enamel dots to look like brads holding down the tag.

Nice little thank you card for a friend or maybe a fireman? LOL

Here are my copic colors used -

Feel Better Soon!

Happy Sunday!

It's this time of year were everbody seems to be caughing.. I've had the flu last month, but after 5 weeks I can't get rid of that caugh it seems... So what better way to feel a bit better than to do some cheerful colouring!!
There is always someone who can use a card like this!
For the front I've used the Speedy Recovery Background .

This time I've decorated the inside too, because I didn't want Nurse Elisabeth Jo to cover up the beautiful background stamp at the front of the card. I've added a Dutch sentiment too.

Base of the card is Bazzill white and some red cardstock. And the Copics I've used for both images:
