Get Your Happy

I couldn't let the month of sharing some of my favourite things with you without sharing one of my favourite High Hopes stamps with you!

Classy Clydesdale was in one of the first new releases I got to play with as a design team member.
Today's card is a reminder to be happy! My horse used to remind me of this every once and a while. If I was too stressed out or he felt I needed a laugh he would always do something to make walk over to the garbage can and pull a Tim Horton's coffee cup out of the garbage and stand there bopping it back and forth..........and many more stories believe me!

Classy Clydesdale just looks so happy and seems to like to have fun so I thought he was perfect for my card.

This week's card was started by making my background paper. I used some inks from stamping up and my ink blending tool and went to work. I added the mini butterfly ink splatter and cut out my pieces using a stitched rectangle die.
The stamp was coloured and fussy cut a very long time ago - it has been on the corner of my white board watching every move I make <wink> but I felt it was perfect for my card this week so voila!
Some gingham ribbon, a wooden horseshoe and sparkly gumdrops - more of my favourite things <smile> finish off my card.

Happy Pigs

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I have another new stamp from High Hopes Stamps and who doesn't love "Happy Pigs"

And two little piggies playing in the mud is really adorable! I colored up with my Copics (colors below) Love to color up that they are a bit messy in the mud. I used paper from Simple Stories, with Green and White card stock. I used a zig zag stitch to attach everything. A fun heart doily from Whimsy Stamps and the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Hogs and Kisses" from the new release! How perfect is it? Three pearl dots in the corner to finish it off.

Oh Bull!

Hi HH Fans!
I'm just popping in today to share with you another adorable image from the High Hopes "So Much Cuteness" Release! I'm loving this release because the images are a nice size and not too detailed so you can create a card quite quickly! These images are great for the beginner or more experienced colorer!! Let me introduce you to the "Oh Bull" image!  I just love the little bird on his head!
My card is a simple design and I just used 2 of the papers from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Fall 6x6 collection! Once I popped up my image with foam squares and added it to the paper, I thought of the saying "less is more". Sometimes you just want the image to be the total focal point not all the embellishments that you add. I added Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter pen to the bow and flowers for some bling.
I have a little secret to share. I was all finished colouring my image and was added Gold Wink of Stella to the ring in the Bull's nose when plop" a huge amount came out. I'm sure the whole neighbourhood heard me scream LOL! What to do now???? Rather than throw out my finished image I decided to just re-stamp the head. I coloured it, fussy cut it out and then popped it up with foam squares. It added a cute dimension to his head! Sometimes mistakes turn into the best little things ever!
Copics Used:
Bull: E11, E13, R01/ E15, E17, E18
Flowers: BG11, BG13, Y23, Y26
Grass: YG23, YG25
Bird: Y23, Y26

Happy Monday High Hopes Friends!
Today, I am happy to share a card I created over the weekend using one of the brand
NEW stamps High Hopes Stamps just release this month.

I stamped "waddles" with Memento Black ink onto copic friendly paper, and colored with alcohol markers. After the image was coloured I fussy cut it leaving a tiny white border around. I stamped and coloured  two x-tra CatTail plants to create my card scene. For embellishment,I used linen thread, P.P.P clear sequins, white gel pen, stitched heart die, stitched hillside border and glossy accent.
The paper is 6X6 pad from Lawn Fawn.
Copic List; Y11 Y13 Y15 Y35 R21 GY11 GY 13 GY17 E31 E33 E37 and B02

Here is the side view!
I have recently discovered this colorful glue dots from Tonbow. I'm in LOVE with the dimension they will give to your project. So I pot my image with 3D foam and glue dots. You can get a glimpse of the image. Hope you got inspired today to created something pretty!

Soccer girl

Happy Sunday!!

Today is the last day of my vacation and it's raining... but that is perfect weather for some crafting!!
Two more weeks untill school begins again, and also soccer practice for my kids..
So I made a good luck card for my girl, she will find it on her pillow when she gets back from holiday with her father.

I coloured this stamp Soccer Star with my Faber-Castell pencils. Lots of round shapes on this card: I used a soccer embossing die for the background and the ribbon I've bought on a local market.

Ok, it isn't spring anymore, but the Dutch word 'spring' means jump, so I found it very funny to use this sentiment 'Spring is in the air'.. Hahahaha!

There is still enough time to join our montlhy challenge "My Favorite Things".. everyone has favorite things, so hop on over to join the fun!

Have a great Sunday! I'm off colouring some High Hopes Stamps ;)

In My Heart

This week's installment of My Favourite Things is......Animals. I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I was a typical child begging my parents to have a dog. When they finally gave in and got us one you can imagine how overjoyed I was!

Meet Delia Angel - the perfect stamp to share my love for animals and perfect for the animal lover in your life.

I started by colouring my stamps with alcohol markers and hand fussy cutting her out leaving a thin white edge. After gluing her on matching cardstock I cut her out again leaving a thin edge. It is hard to see in the photo but her wings are coloured with a sparkle pen to add a little bling. The sentiment is from the so much cuteness release and perfect for this stamp. A wood paw print heart, some twine and another favourite of mine - gumdrops - finish off my card.

I used the following stamps for my little farm scene:
