Sweet Heart Owls

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday Friends! I am excited to share another one of my cards, using some stamps and SVG Files from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection.
 Lisa

This is Sweet Heart Owls (TT038), Sweet Heart Owls SVG File-point 7 (TT038SVG), Tree Stump (TT039), Tree Stump SVG File-point 7 (TT039SVG), Owl Always Love You (HH020), and Owl Always Love You SVG Files-point 7 & 14 (HH020SVG).  Such adorable owls, and so easy to colour and cut too!

I started by using my Cricut machine and cut the point 7 size of the SVG Sweetheart Owls file and Tree Stump file on Xpress It cardstock.  The sentiment was also cut using both the point 7 (stamped sentiment portion) & 14 files (for layering the sentiment).  The image was then stamped with a Versamark Ink Pad using my Misti Stamping Tool to ensure accuracy for the placement of the image inside the cut out portion of my cardstock.  Black embossing powder was applied then heated.  These images were coloured with Copic Markers.  After the image was all coloured and dry, Zig-Wink of Stella - Yellow and Red Glitter pens were used on the Owl's beak and feet and on the hearts for some added sparkle.

For the card base, I chose some SU Soft Sky cardstock.  White cardstock was used to punch a few clouds using a handheld punch.  The sentiment was stamped also using the Misti Stamping Tool, along with a Versamark Ink Pad and White Embossing Powder then heated.  The main images were both adhered to the card using glue dots.  The sentiment was mounted using foam tape to give some added dimension to this card.  To finish it off, Doodlebug-Washi Tape-Sweethearts was adhered on the left side of the card to coordinate with the hearts above the owls.  A Zig-Wink of Stella clear glitter pen was used to cover the clouds.

Supplies Used:
InkCopic Markers - Colorless Blender 0, T1, T3, T7, E25, E31, E47, R27, YR15, Y08, 100. Versamark Ink Pad, Black & White Embossing Powder.

Paper - Doodlebug-Goal 6x6 Paper Pad (grass); SU Soft Sky, Real Red and White Cardstock. Xpress It Cardstock.

Misc - Misti Stamping Tool, Cricut Personal Cutter, Zig-Wink of Stella clear glitter pen, yellow glitter pen, red glitter pen; Doodlebug Washi Tape-Sweethearts, Martha Stewart-Grass Edger Punch, Paper Smooches-Stitched Die, Cloud Punch, Water brush, Foam Tape and Glue Dots.

Happy Owl

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Hoot Hoot, it's Fab Friday!!!  Before sharing with you another adorable image from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection, be sure to stop by the High Hopes website and visit the Fab Fridays sale section!  There are some great deals going on there.  The link can be found here. Happy shopping!!!
 Jane

This is Happy Owl (SS016), Happy Owl SVG File (SS016SVG), Celebration Balloons (SS013), Celebration Balloons SVG File (SS013SVG), Hoot Hoot Sentiment (FF014) and Hoot Hoot SVG Files (FF014SVG).  These little owls are just soooo cute and fun to use on any project! And there are lots of additional accessories to coordinate with these owls too - hoot! hoot!

To start, I cut the SVG files for the owl (point 7 file), celebration balloon (point 7 file) and the Hoot Hoot sentiment (point 7) on watercolour paper. I also cut the point 14 file for layering the Hoot Hoot sentiment as well.  I used a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and sentiment (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, Glossy Accents were applied on the owl's beak and feet to add some shine and dimension.

I decided on a piece of SU Black cardstock for the card base.  The background cardstock is from Tim Holtz called Distress Woodgrain.  I sponged some Gathered Twig Distress Ink on the Woodgrain cardstock to give it more of a tree appearance.  The image was adhered to the card with foam tape on the upper half to make the owl appear like he is popping out of his tree hole.  Foam tape was also applied under the balloons and sentiment for some added dimension.  To complete this card, 4 black rhinestones were placed on the "o" parts of the sentiment and 3 beige rhinestones in the bottom left hand corner of the card.  Also, a piece of Doodlebug twine-bumblebee was tied in a small bow around the balloon strings.

Blooming Friends

                            Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

Spring finally seems to be here although we did have a chance of wet snow forecast for one morning this week!

I am sharing "Blooming Friends" from the High Hopes Spring 2016 Collection. This cutie could be used for so many occasions - Birthday, Mother's Day, Hello...and so many more. I have chosen not to include a sentiment on this one until I have an occasion to use it for.

I started by colouring my image with alcohol markers and cutting it out with a stitched rectangle die. I used the next size up (die) and cut the patterned paper to go behind my image. The banners were cut with fishtail banner dies. A banner with a butterfly, some flowers and glitter gumdrops are the finishing touches for my card. I added Cotton Candy Stickles to the butterfly wings and the flower centres for a little bit of bling.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Blooming Friends (TT031) High Hopes
Patterned Paper: Vintage Bliss - Simple Stories, stash
Stitched Square and Fishtail Banner Dies - Your Next Stamp
Build A Banner Die - Whimsy Stamps, Memento London Fog ink, flowers - Recollections, Cotton Candy Stickles, white gel pen, Glitter Gumdrops - YNS

Rock On

Howdy - MichelleO here again this week and I  have been doing a little jammin' with the new image "Rocking Out" -  and the coordinating sentiment "Rock On" - OH and cut out with the coordinating SVG File... So Totally Loving those matching SVG Files to cut out the image and the mat!!

I had some fun coloring this one as you know I love to add a little sparking to things! I colored with my Copics and then topped off the drum set with some Ranger's Stickles! Yee Haw .. love how they look like real glittered drums!

Close up...

I found papers from My Minds Eye Vanity Fair collection, and sewed down with a zig zag stitch.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the pattern paper then added some dots from Viva Decor Graphite Paint pen.

And the Copic colors used -

Really enjoyed coloring this one - Hope it gave to a little giggle and felt a little rock and roll!

Sweet Melody!

Hi High Hope Fans!
It's Tuesday so that means I am over on the High Hopes Blog with this little cutie called "Sweet Melody"! That puppy just melts my heart!
I decided to make a musical note Shadow Box for something a little different than a card this week. The files for the box were cut with my Silhouette Machine. I also used the matching SVG Sweet Melody file with my Silhouette to add some layered mats behind my image. The background is from Echo Park's Spring collection. Sweet Melody has Silver Wink of Stella on her flute and Clear Wink of Stella on all the flowers. I added the musical notes to the top which is a Memory Box die. To finish off the card I added a few flowers in the bottom corner.
It's hard to tell but there are 3 sizes of musical notes layered within the box. The box was super easy to put together and even has a little hanger so you can put it on your wall if you want.

Copics Used:
E00, E11, E41, E43, E44, E47, E49
R20, R81, R83, R85, RV04
BG13, BG15, BG18

Double Gate Fold Card Using...Besties!

Carolina here,
Good Morning and welcome High Hopes Fans!

I'm delighted to be sharing today this cute card I have created for my niece 10th birthday.
The stamps I'm using for this card are "BESTIES" and the sentiments "HOPING YOUR DAY IS AS SPECIAL AS YOU ARE"! and "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from High Hopes Stamps!
Be sure to check out all the new images for the High Hopes new "Spring 2016 Collection"

I stamped the image with Tuxedo black ink and coloured with Copic markers.
After the image was all coloured, I added green stickles on her dress.
For the card base I used 12X12 double sided patterned paper (Ivy) from Lawn Fawn. I distress the edges with (Peeled Paint) distress ink.
To created the inside I used cardstock, vellum and a few dies from Lawn Fawn "Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables, Puffy Cloud Borders, and Grassy Border".

Find this adorable image and tons more here at High Hopes Stamps!
The scallop and regular circles are dies from Spellbinders. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder. I distress the main circle with (Broken China) distress ink.

Here is the list of the copic markers I used to coloured this lovely image.
I hope you enjoyed checking out my project as much as I enjoyed creating it!!!

Waving Owl

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

It's finally Friday!!!  I have a fun and cute image from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection to share and hopefully inspire you today!
 Jane

This is Waving Owl (SS017), Waving Owl SVG File (SS017SVG), Birthday Hat (FF007), Birthday Hat SVG File (FF007SVG), and Fancy Script Happy Birthday (HH019).  Such a cute and adorable image...and so easy and fun to colour too!

To start, I cut the SVG files for the owl (both the point 7 & 14 files) and the birthday hat (point 7 file) on watercolour paper.  I used a Versafine Black Onyx Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  Glossy Accents were applied on the owl's beak and feet.  Ranger-Turquoise Stickles were added on the top of the hat to add some sparkle.

I decided on a piece of SU Pacific Point cardstock for the card base.  The designer paper is from Bo Bunny-Our Little Monster Collection 6x6 paper pad.  The image was adhered to the card with foam tape for some added dimension.  A Leane Creatief Die called Branch 4 Season was used to cut the branch for the owl to sit on, using SU Basic Gray cardstock.  Foam tape was also used to raise the tree branch.

For the sentiment, it was stamped with a Versamark Ink Pad and Ranger-Yellow Embossing Powder was applied then heated.  A yellow gel pen was used to add the tiny dots around the sentiment to coordinate with the background paper.  To complete this card, a variety of YNS Glitter Gumdrops were added.
