Swinging Sherry - Lacey

Hello High Hopes Fans!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
I wish you a very Safe and Happy New Year!!!

******
Lacey
Today I created a Thank you card for a friend. She loves to golf and we live in Florida so I paired these two stamps together to create a fun scene.
This is Swinging Sherry and Palm Tree S096.

I created a Zig Zag Card (or a Center Step Card). You can find a tutorial here created by Kristine.

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os then cut out and attached to the card.

Thanks for stopping by!!
Happy stamping and I hope you have a very Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year's Eve High Hopes Fans!

Today we find Bob and his wife enjoying a romantic moment before heading out to a New Year's Eve party. Bob's wife is dressed in her finest sparkly read dress and Bob is looking like his usual super cool self in his vest and blue jeans! He's such a romantic isn't he?!

My card features  Under The Mistletoe from the Joys of the Season release.

Bob's Close Up

Sparkly Red Dress Close Up

I have to tell you a secret - Santa came to my house early.....and brought me a new Heidi Swapp Mini Minc! It is so fun to use but it is very difficult to get a good picture when you use foil on a card. I took the picture on the side so you could see the gold on the paper.

After colouring my image with alcohol markers, I cut it out with a stitched oval die and inked the edge with black ink to help it stand out. I ran some Heidi Swapp 5th Avenue paper through my mini Minc to add the gold foil. I did the same with my "happy" word die. I had a few spots on the word die where the foil didn't adhere properly but I used it anyway - I kind of like the "distressed" look it gives.

I found some white paper with a light black pattern on it to add my sentiment to along with the die cut letters to spell New Year.

I added some glitter to Bob's wife's necklace and earrings to make them look like diamonds, added some gold Stickles to the flower centres and glossy accents to Bob's glasses. Although it is very difficult to see, I added clear Wink of Stella to Bob's wife's dress.  I finished the card off with a few black gumdrops...no surprise! lol. I like my glitter and gumdrops!

Spectrum Noir Markers: FS1 FS2 TN2 FS8 CR7 CR11 DR6 DG3 JG6 DG2 DG4 CT1 CT2 GB11 TN7 TN8 EB8 1B1 1G1 1G2 TN1 EB1 EB2 BG5 BG7 BG10

Happy New Year to all of our High Hopes friends and fans!

Party Cow

Howdy - MichelleO here today - Hope you all had an amazing Christmas! Now we are all gearing up for the New Year - and I thought that High Hopes Party Cow was just perfect to end 2015 and bring in 2016!

"I've got the moosic in me!" Now that is a Party Cow!! I colored with my Copics and then found some perfect paper from Farm House Paper. Some older Bazzil Navy blue dotted swiss card stock and cream card stock just matched up well. I matted the cow with the dotted swiss card stock, and found an older Fiskars corner punch in my drawer to hold the cow in place. You know those Party Cows they will try and Mooooove around! (I know really bad huh?) While digging in my punch drawer I found a Fiskars punch with music notes... wow didn't remember I had that one and it was perfect for the embellishments. The High Hope sentiment "I've got the moosic in me!" is just the perfect match for the Party Cow.

Inside more of the same papers and musically note punches.

Copic colors used -

Had lots of fun putting this one together.

Have a safe and Happy New Year and make sure to Get a Little MOOOOSIC in YOU!

Happy New Year 2016 -- High Hopes Stamps

Hi there, just a few more days to a brand new year!
Welcome 2016 I'm ready for you :)
This card was created using High Hopes Under the Mistletoe found here!
I got rid of the mistletoe and changed the stamp from a Christmas Design to a New Years Image.
The image is coloured with Copics and Pearl's dress has the look of sequences by dabbing various colours of Copics on her outfit.
The foil elements on the card were created with Heidi Swapp's mini Minc found here
Touches of confetti were added to the card for some fun details and silver Stickles too.
Do you have any crafty New Year's resolutions for 2016?
For me it's setting aside extra time to create and of course keeping my craft room organized. Since I've been off of work this month I have my craft room totally organized.  My Husband tells me he will come back to check it out in a few days as he know it will be upside down and totally messy by then. (As this is usually what happens!)
So it's a goal and I will try my best to get organized :)
Thanks for peeking! Wishing you all the best in 2016

Coloured with the following Copics above!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello High Hopes Fans!

I hope you had a very nice holiday weekend!

Today I am sharing my final card from the last release.

The image is skiing snowman.

I used Sizzix Large circle stand up card die for  my card.
This is how it looks when it's standing up open.

The ribbon is from May Arts.
The snowflakes were punched  with a Martha Stewart punch and then I added a puffy white snowflake sticker from the Paper Studio.

The paper is Best Creations.
The sentiment is Warm Winter Wishes.

I'll see you again after the New Year!
I can't wait to share the next release with you all!

Who Wants To Go Fishing?

Howdy!
So who wouldn't want to go fishing with this adorable penguin? This super cute stamp from High Hopes is called "Ice Fishing Penguin". I just love his little warm outfit and frozen fish on his pole!
I decided to use paper from the Echo Park "Hello Winter" collection. Mr. Penguin's scarf is paper pieced for a fun element. I added the Frostyville Border from Memory Box along the top and a silver wooden snowflake on the bottom. The High Hopes stamp called "Have An Ice Day" is the perfect sentiment for this stamp.
The "Holiday All Year" sentiment is from High Hopes as well!
Copics Used:
Penguin: T1, T3, T5, T7/ Y35, Y38, R11
Hat & Jacket: BG11, BG23
Stick & Boxes: E42, E43, E44
Ice & Snow: BG000, BG01

Happy Boxing Day! Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

This is Happy Mail (SS002) and  From All of Us Sentiment (HH004).  Hedgy is so adorable!!!

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I applied some Crystal Ice Stickles on the snow covered ground and snow on the mailbox.

The pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye-Winter Wonderland 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some SU marina mist and white cardstock.  The designer paper was die cut using a rectangular die to allow the image to be framed. A SU corner punch was used with the blue cardstock for the corners of the image.  The sentiment was embossed with black embossing powder, then cut using a tag punch.  Red, green and blue markers were used for small dots on the edge of this tag. A small piece of red twine was also added on the tag.  Foam tape was applied to raise the sentiment and to raise the designer paper, to add a bit of dimension.  To complete this card, a blue and white snowflake was punched then layered.  A pearl gem was added to the centre of the snowflake.

Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - 990, 977, 969, N95, N15, 533, 856, 277, N79, and N35.  Versamark Ink Pad and Black Embossing Powder.

Merry Christmas - Santa Bob

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!
Come join our monthly challenge...and you could be the next winner of two High Hopes Stamps of your choice.  The details for the December Challenge - Christmas/Winter theme can be found here

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! This jolly fellow had a busy evening last night...
  Jane

This is  Santa Bob (TT001).  I think the white stuff falling from the sky, was the only thing missing in many areas of the country this Christmas!

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to Santa's glasses.  Frosted Lace Stickles were used on Santa's coat fur, cuffs, hat, and pompom.  Crystal Ice Stickles was used for the snow.  I just love all the sparkle and glitter on Christmas cards!

The image was fussy cut out.  A Memory Box die called Dancing Snowflake Frame was cut using some white cardstock.  A blue card base was used and a piece of Bo Bunny-Dear Santa 6x6 Paper Pad was cut slightly smaller than the Snowflake Frame die.  The main image was glued to the Bo Bunny paper then attached to the blue card base.  The die cut was glued on top of the designer paper allowing Santa Bob to show through.  To add a bit more sparkle, YNS-Ice Ice Baby Sparkly Gumdrops were also included on the corners of this card.

Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - N15, N35, N55, N75, N79, N95, 942, 850, 990, 977, 969, 947, 533, 856, 245, 847, 277, and 126.  Versamark Ink Pad and Black Embossing Powder.

Merry Christmas - Sleigh Ride

Hey High Hopes Stampers!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day with your friends and family!
I finally had a moment to sit down and work on a project that I wanted to share with you all today!

This is "Sleigh Ride" from the new release "Joys of the Seasons". This little snowman, and his Penguin buddy, just looked like they were on their way to deliver Christmas gifts to some of their favorite friends, so.....

I cut out my stamped image and attached it to a super cute Sled design that I got from the Silhouette Design Store, and filled it with goodies. I would have filled it with candy, but, I try not to keep candy readily available, if you know what I mean.

I colored "Sleigh Ride" with Spectrum Noir Markers:
JG6, DR5, DR7, IG6, TB6, OR1, and some watercolors too, of course. I also used papers from the Buncha Scraps "Christmas with Santa" collection.

For more details, and links, on the Sled design and the giant Gifts in the background, please visit my Buncha Scraps Blog

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas Eve Happy Mail

Happy Christmas Eve High Hopes Fans!

I have one more Christmas card to share with you today. It's always nice to have a few extra on hand for those last minute invites over the Christmas season.

My card features Happy Mail from the newest Joys of the Seasons release. Don't tell but I made another one for my god daughter who absolutely loves hedge hogs. This is the fun part of making cards - being able to find the perfect stamp for the special people in your life!

Side View

After colouring the image with alcohol markers I cut it out with a circle die and then ran it through again with a pierced circle die.

I formed my card base and held my breath. It made me nervous to cut the middle of the card front out but I had used a regular piece of printer paper to plan the layout out first so away I went.

After cutting out the middle, I cut a piece of plastic packaging a little larger then the piece I cut out of the cardstock in the middle. (I didn't have a piece of acetate that I felt would be thick enough to use). I added some snowflake cellophane paper - the kind you would wrap a gift basket with - and added to the card front.

I added some "Snow" from Stampendous, patterned paper from "Sugar Plum" (Doodlebug) a bow and my favourite - yes I'm addicted - Gumdrops.

Spectrum Noir Markers: TN1 EB1 EB2 EB6 EB3 EB8 GB8 GB10 EB5 CR9 CR11 DR6 DG2 DG4 PP2 PP4 PP6 1G2 1G4 1G8 1B1

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas filled with family, laughter and fun.

Lil Sowbird -- Snow globe High Hopes Stamps

Hi There, I'm back with a few last minute projects I created just before the big day!!
I made a few handmade snow globes using High Hopes Lil Snowbird found here.
Espresso jars were used for the snow globe and filed with glittery mesh material, white bottle brush trees, silver pipe cleansers and other Winter  goodies.
The sides of the jar were painted with white acrylic paint and touches were added to the bells and tinsel on the top of the jar.  Also a mini chalkboard was added to the top were a note or name written for a personal touch.
Lights  which run on a battery and the battery pack was adhered to the back of the jar with Velcro.
The jars are fairly easy to make I think the hardest part is positioning the image and trees inside the jar.
Check out the Video Here!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

Mr. & Mrs. Claus

Howdy - MichelleO here and I wanted to get one more Christmas Card in for the year! And one with cookies would make the best to end with right?

This is High Hopes Stamps "Mr. & Mrs. Claus" and it looks like Mrs. Claus has been doing some baking. She is ahead of me Still have that to do on my list this week.

Do you think they know that little elf is swiping a cookie? I colored with my Copics and added lots of Rangers Diamond stickles for some sparkle. I sewed all the layers down on some scrap Christmas papers on my desk. All the layers are matted on Green or red card stock.

For the sentiment I found another great High Hopes! "Celebrate the Magic of Christmas"

The inside of my card is more of the same papers -
