Carrots and Cookies

Wow! I can't believe it's the last Thursday in November already! Yikes! Where did the time go?!

My post today features an older High Hopes stamp called Santa's Sleigh Ride (found here). How cute is this reindeer and Santa sitting with his feet up! He must be taking a break before his big day!

My original layout and ideas for this card didn't work out the way I pictured it in my head - have you ever had that happen?) so I ended up fussy cutting the image (leaving a bit of a white border) after colouring with alcohol markers.
The "snow" was made by tearing some white pieces of cardstock and adding Stickles to the edges. I created my sentiment on my computer and printed it off on a label die that I cut in half. An icicle border, red gumdrops and glitter on Santa's coat and hat finish off my card. Did you see the red glitter gumdrop on the reindeer's nose? The sentiment was created on my computer.

Spectrum Noir Makers: TN2 TN4 TN6 TN7 EB4 EB3 EB5 BR3 BR7 BR10 CT1 CT4 GB11 CR1 CR7 CR9 CR11 DR6 1G1 1G2 1G5 1G4 CG3 CG4 JG4 BT1 BT2 BT4 BT6 1B1 FS1 FS2 TN2 FS8

Country Harvest

Howdy - MichelleO here and today I am in the fall feeling, maybe it because it is getting time for a little Thanksgiving here. And this image is a wonderful Fall image!

Country Harvest -

Such a fun image to color! I colored with my Copics (colors below)  Now this is a really large image and I thought it needed an easel card to show it off the most possible.  So I found some fall papers from Graphic 45 and created an easel card with some kraft card stock and pretty fall papers. I sewed down all the layers and then added some Martha Stewart border punches. A little wood fence and grass.

Close up of the image -

And then for that great sentiment that works so well for those Fall Cards - Bold Have a Blessed Season sentiment.

And here are the Copic colors used -

Have you heard the news? High Hopes is now available in Club Packs!

We are excited to introduce our brand new High Hopes Club Packs - each set

Jolly Old St. Nick

Howdy -  MichelleO here and today is a little giggle... HO HO HO! Jolly Old St. Nick here and isn't he just adorable laughing at those two cute kitties.

This Happy Santa make me smile. I colored with my Copics (colors below) Seems those two kitties like to hide in Santa's boot and hat! I found a old piece of peppermint candy pattern paper in my stash from Fiskars. It has a little shimmer to it. I added red and white card stock and sewed down all the layers with a zig zag stitch. Worked perfect with the HO HO HO sentiment.

Love how you can color the HO HO HO to match your card.  For some added embellishment I added some Viva Decor Pearl Pen to Santa's Coat and hat for a little fuzzy look.

Close up of Santa and the kitties...

Sleigh Ride

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!
Come join our monthly challenge...and you could be the next winner of two High Hopes Stamps of your choice.  The details for the November Challenge can be found here.  The challenge runs through November 30th.

With the mild weather in Southern Ontario this past week, it is hard to believe Christmas is next month!  I sure hope you have started on your Christmas cards, but if not... I hope the other Diva's cards and this card, may inspire you to get working on them!
  Jane

This is Sleigh Ride (SS004) and Sm. Christmas Script Sentiment (F051). Such a cute image!!!

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to the Snowman's nose, holly berries, and Penguin's feet and beak.  Frosted Lace Stickles were applied to the Penguin's pompom and the snowflake dots on the sleigh.  Gold Stickles were added to the Snowman's hat buckle. A Zig-Wink of Stella clear glitter pen was used for the fur on the Penguin's hat.

The image was fussy cut.  The snow hills were created by using a Paper Smooches die called Stitched.  The tree dies are from Frantic Stamper called Tall Pine Trees. A white ink pad was used to sponge the trees to give it a more of a snowy appearance.  The pattern paper is from Bo Bunny-Dear Santa 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some blue, green, and white cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped with a blue ink pad.  I wanted to keep this card fairly flat so it could be mailed out; therefore, I never used any foam tape--which is quite unusual for me - LOL!  To complete this card, a few blue rhinestones were added to the corners of the card.

Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - N15, N35, N75, 245, 985, 847, 856, 992, 977, 533, 535, and 761.  Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing Powder, White Ink Pad (sponging trees), and Blue Ink Pad (sentiment).
Paper - Bo Bunny-Dear Santa 6x6 Paper Pad; SU Blue, Green, and White Cardstock.
Misc - Glossy Accents, Frosted Lace Stickles, Gold Stickles, Zig-Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen, Blue Rhinestones, Paper Smooches-Stitched Die, Frantic Stamper-Tall Pine Trees die, Water Brush, and Glue Dots.

Thanks for stopping by!

Jolly Old St. Nick - Lacey

Hello High Hopes Fans!!

We have a new Challenge for you.
The November Challenge: Christmas/Winter can be found here.

Lacey
Today I pulled out an old image. Actually it's an older design, but it's new to me. I've always admired this design but never owned it until recently.
I colored the cats to match my two kitties :-)

The papers are from My Mind's Eye. I used a buckle hardware I've had for ages paired with some glitter ribbon to make a Santa belt. I added some Liquid Applique on the fur of Santa's hat and coat.

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os and Copics...

Naughty or Nice?

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans! Today my post features Winking Snowman, one of the super cute snowmen from the Joys of the Season new release.

I just think this snowman is way too cute! I wanted to use a fun sentiment because of the wink. After colouring this cutie with alcohol markers,I chose  some pieces of turquoise and white cardstock.
I cut the white piece to size and ran it through a snowflake embossing folder. I chose to use the "negative" side of the paper so the snowflakes are indented instead of raised - that's the "naughty" part of my card <wink>.
I added some patterned paper to the outside edge, and created and printed the sentiment from my computer. Some punched out snowflakes and some glittery enamel dots finish off the card.

Snowman Mini Set

Howdy - MichelleO here and today is my High Hopes Stamps day and I had fun playing with.. I mean "working" with the Snowman Mini Set. This is a great fun set that you can do lots with!

A simple card that I think is really fun. So the three snowmen are stamped and then masked off then I stamped the circles so the arms and hands would hang over the circles. I colored them all with my Copics (colors below) I found some Christmas papers in my stash that I layered and then asked my sewing machine to help me with the embellishment - I sewed the layers together with a snowflake stitch! Love that. Ok it took a while. But I think it was worth it. I tried a few other embellishments on this one, but honestly the stitching and those cute little snowman faces were all I could see working here!

Copic colors used -
