Bob's A Water Ski Dude!

Happy Terrific Tuesday!

I can't believe it's the end of June already! Wow that just flew by. It's Tuesday so that means it my turn to show what I made on the blog today! I have been so inspired by my fellow Design Team friends with all their "scene" cards that I decided to try to do one myself. I am sharing with you a stair step card I made using Bob's A Water Ski Dude
To make this stair step card I followed a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. I coloured Bob with my Copics and then fussy cut around the image. I made the waves with a tear away type of ruler I have had for ages and then inked the edges with white pigment ink to make the waves look like they have white caps. Then I got out my trusty Cricut machine that I never use and cut out the palm trees and fish to add to my scene. I altered the sentiment stamp from Sentiment set #4, and masked out the "Surfing" as Bob is water skiing. Using some clear acetate I made 2 of the fish look like they are jumping out of the water behind Bob. I dug through my stash and found the shell and starfish stickers and I think they just completed my little scene!
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, R20
Glasses: C5, glossy accents
Hair: E31, E33, E35, E37
Shorts: R22, R24, R27, R89, Diamond Stickles on stripe
Water ski: G03, G05, G07, Y13, Y15, Y17
Fish: B0000, Diamond Stickles

I wish all my fellow Canadians a Happy Canada Day and to my American Friends Happy 4th of July!
Happy Crafting

My Hero!

July 4th will be here before you know it so I thought I would make a patriotic inspired card today.

I used some patriotic double sided paper by Best Creations Inc. from my Local Scrapbook Store.

I cut the card base out with the Sizzix Square Stand Up Card Die.

I colored the image with Copic Markers
(E50-E51-E93-C9C7-C5-C3-C1-B97-B95-B91-R27-R24-R22-T5-T3-T1-Y15-Y08)

The Ribbon is May Arts.
The front sentiment is from Sentiment Set #3.
The inside sentiment is from Sentiment Set #4.

Bob Loves His Tractor

Hello High Hopes Fans

Here is a card I made, using stamps from the New Release - All About Boys!
Lisa

This is Bob Loves His Tractor (U508), along with the sentiment from Sentiment Set #3 (U506). This tractor stamp is one of my favourite new stamps!!!

I coloured Bob and the tractor with Copic Markers (C1,C2, C3, W7, W9, R24, R27, E01, E31, E74, E77, Y06, Y08, B97, and B99).  Some light grey ink was sponged on the edges of this image, after it was coloured.  The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder and a circle punch was used to cut it out. Foam tape was applied to pop out the sentiment. I used a needle and thread to poke holes, then stitched the edge of the designer paper.   Three small red rhinestones were added to the left of the image, to complete this card.  The background paper is from Carta Bella - Boy Oh Boy 6x6 Paper Pad, and Fancy Pants - Timbergrove 12x12 sheet, along with some black cardstock.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Gabriel Loves Soccer

Hello High Hopes Fans

I am excited to share another one of my cards, using one of the stamps and sentiment from the new release--All About Boys!
Jane

This is Gabriel Loves Soccer (S525), and sentiment from Sentiment Set #3 (U506).  This stamp is sooo adorable !!!

I coloured Gabriel with Tombow Markers and water. The background was created using an embossing folder from Darice called Honeycomb.  After I dry embossed the white cardstock, I then flipped it over and coloured the debossed side with a black sharpie marker.  I found it easier to colour the debossed side, as it helped to keep the marker colour inside the lines.  The coloured image was die cut from a hexagon set in my stash.  I punched some grass from a Martha Stewart edger punch a couple of times, then trimmed it to fit inside the hexagon shape.  The sentiment was embossed with black embossing powder, and punched out with an oval punch. Yellow Stickles were added on the stars and a fine black sharpie marker was used for the dots on the scalloped oval punched shape. The sentiment was placed on the card with foam tape.  To complete this design, a few YNS Gumdrops were added to the sides of the coloured hexagon image.

Supplies Used:

Ink - Tombow Markers - N60, 491, 942, 850, 800, 055, 985, 992, N35, N55, N75, 133 and 245. Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing Powder, Black Sharpie Markers - Med and Extra Fine Tip.

Paper - Black, White, Green and Yellow Cardstock.

Misc - Nellie's Multi-Frames - Straight Hexagon Dies, Darice - Honeycomb Background Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart - Grass Edger Punch, Oval Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, Yellow Stickles, YNS Gumdrops - LemonWater Brush, Foam Tape, Glue Dots.

Gabriel Loves Baseball

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans. Pssst - it's one day closer to Fri-YAY!!!! Hang in there friends!

My post today features Gabriel Loves Baseball (S524) and a sentiment from Sentiment Set #3.  (U506)

I only played a little bit of baseball growing up, my game was soccer. When I think baseball, I immediately think baseball diamond so I set out to find an easel card that had a diamond base instead of a square/rectangle.

I searched the web over and didn't find anything so I set about figuring it out. Had some trial and error but that's the fun part.

                                                       Donna

I coloured Gabriel with Spectrum Noir markers and sponged some ink around him for the sky. I added the sentiment, some tan card stock (to look like sand) and finished it off with some baseball buttons (with the button hole cut off) and some stars.  I also added some ribbon that I painted with silver metallic paint to make it look like the chain link fence that is behind home plate. I added a hand made pennant which I remember always being "the thing to get" after attending a baseball game.

Spectrum Noir Marker List
Bat: TN3 TN5 TN7
Skin: FS2 FS3 TN2 1G1
Hair: CT1 CT2 GB11
Uniform and Helmet: DR2 DR1 DR7
Kleats: True Black
Uniform and Shoes: 1G1 1G2 Blender

Bob Loves Golf, High Hopes - Natalie

Bob's back aging and this time he's trying a little golf! I think this would be a great card for dad or a golf lover :)
The image is coloured with Copics and that includes the plaid Bob's shirt!
The tan golf tee is compliments of my husband and I think it makes a fun embellishment.  I wrapped the sentiment around the tee and added a bow.
Glossy accents here and there plus some added sewing stitches to complete this image.
Thanks for peeking. Further details can be found on my blog found here,  Hope to see you colouring up this sporty image "Bob Loves Golf" &Sentiment Set 3

Bob Loves His Tractor

Howdy -

MichelleO here and today I am sharing a card with one of the new High Hopes Stamps images. "Bob Loves His Tractor" is one of those have to have images that works well with the cards I make for friends and family. And with Bob riding on his tractor I just had to pair it up with the "Barn" image.

Other DT have done this too... maybe it is because they just scream out to work together! I stamped Bob, then stamped a mask and cut it out and covered over him. Then stamped the Barn. So much fun now I had an entire scene to color! I started to pull out animals and fences and such, but realized my card was already full. But ideas are a working....

I colored my copics (colors below) and then found a pattern paper from Farmhouse that looked great with the kraft card stock and dark red Bazzill card stock. I sewed down the layers with a zig zag stitch, and created the bottom to my card matching the top. I used a sentiment from the the "Sentiment #4 Set". Ready for any guy card don't you think. Oh I added three small buttons on the bottom corner, too hard to not add some sort of embellishment. Then while getting ready to photo my card I realized that the puffs of smoke out of the tractor needed "more" as well. So I found some white puff paint in my stash. I have no idea how long I have had it..

Close up of the "scene".

And Copic Colors used -

I think my favorite part of High Hopes images is that they work so well together. New and Older images. I can dig back to some of my oldest favorites and pull them out and they have so much fun with the brand new!

Hope you have a wonderful day planned. I think Hubby will be looking a lot like "Bob" today.. lots of mowing to do on his tractor today! LOL

Let's Ride!

Hi everyone!
Today I am sharing with you the new image called Bob Loves His Motorcycle. This image reminds me of my Husband who also loves his motorcycle, his Hog, his Harley LOL. I coloured Bob to match what my hubby wears and the colour of his bike.
I am using papers from the Echo Park Jack and Jill 6x6 Collection. I cut around my image with MFT Stitched Rectangle die-namics. A bit of twine with a bow and some bottle cap inspired letters were my embellishments this time. I also used silver Wink of Stella on all the silver motorcycle parts, as well as a black Gel pen on the handles and his boots. I added glossy accents to Bob's glasses and the motor cycle lights.
Here's the side view where you can see that I popped my stamped image up with Foam squares, and you can see that the bottle caps are raised as well.
Once again I used the MFT Stitched rectangles and a MFT small monarch border die to add some interest to the inside of the card. The sentiment is from the High Hopes Sentiment set #4.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, R20
Hair: Y21, YR23
Bike: B23, B26, B28
