Why did Brewster cross the road?

Hello High Hopes Fans

Did you see the new challenge?
The April Challenge can be found here.
It runs through 7pm EST Thursday, April 30th.

Jane

For today's card, I wanted more of a fun card with a farm theme to it!  We have a close friend, who is a chicken farmer, and I thought this would be a perfect card to give to him.  We have an on-going joke about, "Why did the chicken cross the road?"  No one seems to know the answer...lol!

The High Hopes Stamps I used for this card are:  Farm Background (R106), Brewster (H189), and Roadway (J019). These stamps have been available at High Hopes for awhile now, (they are not from the new release on March 19), but they are still very fun to use though!

The images were coloured with Copic Markers. A fair bit of chalking was used on this card - clouds, grass, and sunset/hills in the background.  Red stickles were added on the chicken's head and below his beak, and yellow stickles for the chicken's beak and feet. The letter's "WHY?" were stamped with individual letter stamps and embossed with black embossing powder.  Brewster was fussy cut and foam tape was used to pop him out, to make him look like he left the barn and crossed the road!

Supplies used

Ink - Coloured with Copic Markers, Black Embossing Powder, Versamark Ink Pad.

Paper - White and Black cardstock.

Misc - Chalk, Yellow and Red Stickles, Glue dots, Foam Tape.

Emilee and Lola - Lisa

Hello High Hopes Fans

Did you see the new challenge?
The April Challenge can be found here.
It runs through 7pm EST Thursday, April 30th.

This adorable image is a newly released High Hopes stamp called - Emilee and Lola (T500).  I coloured it with Copic markers (C1, E00, E01, E30, E31, E49, E71, E74, R20, R21, BG32, BG34, BG72, BG75, C3, C5, and 100).  The die cut is from Spellbinders-Fleur De Lis Squares die.  The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye-On Trend 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some Blush and White Cardstock.  The die cut was raised with foam tape, to give the card a bit of dimension.  Gold rhinestones and a couple of pieces of gold cord were also added, to match the gold flowers on the designer paper.

Have a great weekend!

Taking a Break - Lacey

Hello High Hopes Fans

If you are looking for the April Challenge, you can find it here.
The challenge runs through 7pm EST Thursday, April 30th.

Lacey
Today it's my turn to share on of my cards.

This is Taking a Break. Or I think he can be called a "Lazy cow"!!
The papers are from an old My Mind's Eye paper pad mixed with some grass paper I bought awhile ago for a soccer layout. I added a fence and clouds die cut.

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os.
Then it was cut out and attached with foam tape.

Now let's see what you can do with these fun stamps.
The April challenge is open for another week.
Remember, you must use a High Hopes stamp to enter the challenges, but if you don't have a High Hopes stamp, you are welcome to use our free digi to enter!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Little One

                             Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

When I first saw this stamp my first thought was a Mother's Love......

This stamp is called Snuggles and Cuddles from the Spring Is In the Air release.

I thought about doing my card as a Mother's Day Card but chose instead to make it a baby card. I don't have anyone in my life at the moment who is having a baby but you never know when things can change so it will be nice to have it in my finished card stash.

I had an impromtu shopping trip at One Crazy Stamper a couple of weeks ago and one or my purchases was this Bundle of Joy paper from Echo Park. I really like the soft colours of this paper and thought it was perfect for this stamp.

I coloured this stamp with the following Spectrum Noir Markers: DG2 DG4
YG67 (Copic) TN3 TN6 CR2 FS8 CR5 PP1 PP3 PP5 BG5 BG7 BG10 GT1

Curious Bunny

Howdy -

MichelleO today and I had some fun with one of my favorite Bunny images -Curious Bunny

Sweet isn't she... I paired her up with lots of pink and white. The papers are from My Minds Eye Kate & Co. I colored with my Copics to match up with the papers. Then added a sentiment "Thinking of you and smiling!" I love sewing on my cards so I did some zig zag stitching and a little ribbon and mulberry flowers to finish it off.

The Copic colors used -

Happy bunny images do make you smile don't they? And I love the springy flowers. There are so many fun Spring images in the High Hopes Web Site - make sure to pop over and see all that is new and all the great favorite images!

Teddy's Family

Hello High Hopes Fans

You can find our April Challenge HERE
The challenge runs until April 30th.

April showers bring May flowers and this bear family looks like they are in the midst of a downpour LOL! Of course like any child the little bear would rather play in the puddles. Still they look so cute all cuddled together trying to stay dry. For this card I used the image called "Teddy's Family".

I stamped the image with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured the bears and puddle with my Copic Sketch Markers. I used coordinating  paper from the MME Quite Contrary "Jack and Jill" collection.  I paper pieced the Mommy bear and the umbrella with matching paper from it. The rain drops are enhanced with Liquid Pearls in Baby Blue. I added some twine and enamel dots as embellishments. The puddle has some clear Wink of Stella glitter pen for a bit of added sparkle!

The sentiment inside is called "Play in Puddles"

Copics used:
 Bears: E11, E13, E15 nose-T7
tongue & ears: R20, R27
Bow: Y21, Y26
Umbrella pole: T3
Water: BG000, BG01

Thanks for stopping by and checking out the "Tuesday posts"! See you next week!

WOW the week came and went!!!  I am so late for my project this week!  Where oh where does the time go?  This week I worked with Happy Panda from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I had this one chosen because my niece turns 16 this year in a few weeks and her name is Amanda so OF COURSE her nick name is Manda Panda!

The Copic Markers that I used are;

Panda - N9, N7, N5, N3, N1 - E40, E41
Mouth - R20, R22
Bambo - E55, E53, E51
Leaves - YG25, G24, 28

The Sky and ground are the Distress Inks from Tim Holtz!  I am just inspired by a nice cloudy sky and I seem to use this background quite a lot right now!  It saves on copic marker ink too LOL.  The inks that I used for the ground were Tea Dye, then on top the Crushed Olive.  The sky is simply the Tumbled Glass.

The paper that I used for the background I purchased from One Crazy Stamper

I hope you will join me on Friday for another image that I will be sharing with you from High Hopes!

The challenges that I am entering this card into are:
